After many years of painting floorcloths, furniture, lamps and treasured junk shop finds, I have become obsessed with textiles.

Collaged, painted, embroidered, embellished.  I find most of my fabrics in thrift shops – a blouse here, a dress there, a scarf anywhere!  Great patterns and colors waiting for their second chance – antique linen, unbleached cotton – beads, buttons, fringe.  All wonderful elements to put together.

I invite you to share this passion of mine in a two day workshop, on the 29th and 30th November, from 2pm – 5pm each day, in my studio.  You can make either a cushion, or an art puppet.  I have lots of fabrics, embroidery threads, beads and buttons. It would be great to bring any pieces of fabric, however small,  and embellishments you may have lying around – the more choice, the more creativity, the more fun!  And take a “kit” home with you, of threads, needles etc. to finish your piece.
