The Hyde Park Home Day and Parade, organized by the Hyde Park Community Circle, will be held Saturday Sept, 21th from noon to 3:oo pm. Enjoy the parade by coming with your bike, trike or stroller and decorate them with Jon and Deb Henderson in front of St. Teresa’s Parish Hall, where the parade begins. After the parade, gather near the courthouse to join the Hyde Park VFW in the pledge of allegiance, then watch the colorful, lively Lamoille River Swingers. While listening to music by Abby Sherman and Mountain County, enjoy free tea and scones in the tea tent in front of the courthouse.Bring your own apples and make cider with Michael Wickenden in front of the sheriff’s department. Enjoy tractor and wagon rides with Davis Hill Farm.The Lamoille Family Center and Lamoille Regional Solid Waste Management, as well as others, will provide children’s activities. Enjoy Nepali cuisine, hamburgers and hot dogs by the fire department and onion rings and french fries by the VFW and Auxiliary. Don’t forget the raffle, with dozens of dozens of prizes. Come before noon to find parking (Hyde Park Elementary School, behind the former P.H. Edwards, side streets, and spots on Main Street not marked with cones). Handicapped parking will be in front of Fred’s Import Specialists. Main St. will be closed during the parade.
