As we age, we need to adapt to many changes in our bodies, abilities, lifestyle. So let's get together to talk and support each other through this process. Join Maxine Adams, facilitator, on the third Friday of every month at 1:00pm at the library. Maxine is a trained social worker and caregiver as well as a member and volunteer with Lamoille Neighbors. No need to register for this discussion group.
Hi Aging Together Group:
The Aging Together group will be meeting in two weeks - the third Friday in July - 7/19/24 - at 1:00 pm on the 4th floor of the Centennial Library in Morrisville. (The elevator is to your right after entering the foyer.)
We will have Jessica McDonald from Lamoille Health and Hospice to discuss:
the difference between natural memory difficulties as we age and actual dementia
a brief review of the kinds of dementia
how to tell Mild Cognitive Impairment from Initial dementia problems
how to recognize early dementia - warning signs
steps that can be taken to slow down memory loss
what dementia services are available
how to be a caregiver to a person with a dementia diagnosis (we may have to have a whole session on this one later)
See you Friday July 19!
Maxine Adams
